Mask art

This is my mask art. I really liked how it turned out. We did this on Fridays with Mrs Swinburn.
1. First we made a plan and the we photocopied it and
2. At the start we cut out our main big pieces.
3. Then we cut out our little pieces.
4. After that we painted all of our pieces and our main background.
5.  Then we glued all our pieces on.
6. Then we used PVA glue to give it a shine so we put it all over it.

Have you ever done Pablo Picasso ?

  1. Kia ora Paige,
Wow, what a fantastic job you have done creating this mask artwork!
I really like all of the bright and vibrant colours you have used in your work, and think that the spikey elements both on the top and sides add a lovely contrast to your art.
Including the step-by-step process as to how you made this mask was a fantastic idea as it really helps give us an insight as to how you created this art piece.
You mentioned in your post how you first made a plan of what you wanted before starting on the actual piece. Planning is a great way to get all of your thoughts together so that you know exactly what you want to do, and how you are going to do it.
How did you decide on the design that you wanted?
You also mentioned in your post how you used PVA glue over the top of your art to give it a shine.
How thick did you need to apply the glue in order to get it glossy?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Pablo Picasso is one of my favourite artists because of his abstract designs, and I think you have really captured the essence of his style in your mask!
    Keep up the fantastic work!
    Nga mihi
