The year he was born in was 1916
He was 74 when he died.
He used to write his books in a little shed with a yellow door in the woods by a lake.
He wrote a couple of these book : Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory also know as Willy Wonka, The Twits, and the BFG and a lot of other books
