Today with Mrs Minehan we registered ourselves into the summer learning journey and then we went onto the art task. I did a few different tasks and then I did this one I made it all green and the I made it all blue and then I made the background grey and white. I really like the blue sign with Chinese writing in it that is in the top left corner.

Term 3 Van Gogh Art
Last term we did Van Gogh starry night art with Mrs Swinburn.
1. Before we could get to doing the art we had to take a picture of our leg on a chair and our hand in the air reaching for the stars. Then we had to cut yourself out.
2. At the start we had to draw the stars and the moon in yellow crayon.
3. Then we had to get 3 different types of blue crayon to draw the swirls and then we did that.
4. Once everyone had finished drawing their swirls it was time to draw on the little white dashes. Some people thought they were done with the white dashes but no if you look at Van Goghs art there are so many white dashes.
5.. After everyone finished the dashes it was time to dye the background black to make it look like the night.
6. The last step was to add the ladder which is icecream sticks stuck together and the picture of us that we took earlier and add it to the ladder that is on the paper.

The Awesome Mr Kinane
Day 1 :
Today was the first day that Mr Kinane came in and for the three days that he is here, he is going to be teaching us how to use micro bits. Mr Kinane is a specialist in digital technology and computational thinking. We needed a partner and my partner was Ashley.
What you need to have when you get them : You will need the Micro bit, on day there you need the big circle circuit board that has more connections on it. The USB cord is to plug into your computer to download your code onto the micro bit, on day 3 you need 2 power packs but on day 1 & 2 you only need one.
Day 2 :
Today we had to send a message to another micro bit. We had to choose a number between 1 - 255 the group I was in choose the number 125. We sent hi to each other. Once we got it sorted we went outside and saw how many steps we could go away from each other and see if it would still work and it did it worked from far away.
Day 3 :
Today we got to add more stuff that connected to the micro bit. I was in a group with Sora. Everybody got a Cricket add on, 2 micro bits, a USB cord, 2 power packs and an arm. We also got a cup and a straw and we had to make the straw go around in a circle with this little machine that has a connection on the top that you can stick the straw to and it makes it go around. Sora and I couldn't get it to work but we kept trying ever though we still didn't get it.
I really liked having Mr Kinane come in and taught us all about how the micro bits work it was so much fun.
Have you ever used a Micro bit ?

A Quality Blog Post
This is Elizabeth's and my good and bad comments. The ones that are red weren't thoughtful, positive or helpful and the ones in green were Positive, thoughtful and helpful. This was really fun and I really like working with people I don't always work with.

Dog to Cat
This is my animation of a dog turning into a cat. I learn't a bit more about the cropping tole and I am still learning how to move it bit my bit but I don't have really great patience and I had to finish this all in one day. I am still trying to get better at moving the things on my animations a lot more slower. I tried my best on this animation and I will be trying a lot more different animations because I want to learn a lot more about how to do them better.
Do you like doing animations ?

Science Roadshow
First of all at our first show they had squeezed a red cabbage into 5 tubs then they added random stuff to them but left one tube to see what happens. when they added the stuff to them it changed the colour of them. So cabbage juice is purple and imagine it changing colours to colours like blue, green, yellow and dark blue. At last they added a chemical that changed the colour to clear.
After our 1st show it was time to have a look around. First of all we had to grab a little card that had a challenge on it you had to find all three things on it and then you would write your name on it and if you get picked out of a box you got a prize. The first thing that I did was I went to the wind tunnel. It was fun because it blows air on you but it doesn't blow you away and it fells really nice. I had a bit more of a look around. After that we got told to go and sit back down because they were going to do our second show.
In the second show we learnt about air pressure. The funnest bit was when Mrs Hickford was nice enough to volunteer to hop in a big plastic bag and get the air sucked out of the plastic bag. She was showing us her opening and closing her hand to show us how hard it got to open and close her hand when all of the air got sucked out. They also showed us some really hard ways to crack an egg. Like if you put your pointing finger on the top and your thump on the bottom.
Have you ever gone to a Science Roadshow?
Did you like it?
What did you learn when you went?

Coast 2 Coast
This week we have been working on facts and opinions. A fact is where you go onto a website and it says did you know that a shark can grow up to 20 metres or longer. An opinion is when you say like that is so horrible and the other person says it 's so pretty you can't get mad at them because you have your opinion and they have theirs.
