Screen Castify

This week we have been doing the Matific competition. In the video above I was doing Roman numerals. I am top 400, I was top 200  but the I dropped back over night. Kaniere School is coming first out of all the schools that are doing it.

Transformation using Grids

Today we found an accredited image on Explore and selected it to use on our page. We then put a 5x5 grid on it so we could copy the image and make it original. Mrs Minehan selected the first two images so we could understand the process, then we got to choose our own image.
I found the first one a little bit hard because I had to make it curve around.
The second one was easy because I had to use the cloud in the shapes and I liked doing this on more.
I chose the image of the tree because I am proud of what I have done and I made it look a bit more similar
Have you ever tried to transform an image using a grid? How did you find the process?

 

I liked doing this polyline art because you made a picture on your own and I didn't give up ever though it was a little hard. 

Kenn Nesbitt

We have learned about  Kenn Nesbitt who is a poet. We all did it with Mrs Swinburn. We went onto his website and read some of his poems and then we wrote our own poem.

Dragon Clip Art

Today Mrs Minehan talked to us about the images we use off the internet. We learnt that it is best to create our own, so she showed us how to download an image from the Explore tool onto Google Drawing and then we made it our own by using the Polyline line tool to draw over it and colour it in. It was so much fun. Have you ever made your own images like this?

I liked doing this because it was fun using poly line and and colouring it in with lots of different colours. 

Autumn Leave Sun Catchers

The other day Mrs Swinburn told us to go outside and find some leaves and then we brought them in and let them dry. Then we got paper plates and painted the rim of the plates. Next we let the paint on the plates dry. After lunch we cut around out the middle of the plate. We got our leaves and then Mrs Minehan got a laminated pouch and I put my leaves in it and then laminated the leaves in the puch. After that we sellotaped the laminated leaves on to the rim of the plate. The final step was to add some string and then Miss Saddler hung them up.

Science Experiment

Today at school we did an science experiment. We put water in a cup and then we put food die in the cup and last of all we put white flowers in the cup. The flowers weren't changing that quickly so Mrs Swinburn added more food colouring. We have been waiting all day for the flowers to change colour and now they are starting to change. After the weekend when we came back to school on Monday the were mainly all coloured. Have you ever done a science experiment?
